With soft and pliable fibers, the messages are more digestible.
As text messaging, tweets, and memes have become an increasingly pervasive method of communication, text has replaced imagery as a central subject for an accumulating number of Contemporary artists, to be hand-crafted for perpetuity.
Written language has transformed into increasingly abbreviated and ephemeral elocutions.
Succinct proclamations can be read on protest signs at demonstrations.
In a chorus of voices and short attention spans, brevity is compulsory.
The variability of voices range from layered prose and mantras to cynical and humorous quips to derisive labels, taunts and stereotypes, all the while embracing text as enigmatic metaphors that represent a contentious culture of the moment, and a society searching for signs of hope.
